The second half of my week(1) in Beaujolais – only a little rain overnight Thurs-Friday and already sunny again before lunch on Friday, this being the only day without a morning frost:

Lovely photos. I’ve never come across the ’Le Beaujolais’ bottling, should it be widely available? Seems to me that Lapierre’s alcohol levels have been increasing, at times to an alarming degree, do you find that worrisome?

It’s a new one – at least for 2021, replacing the Raisins Gauloises. Re alcohols, I’m sure it’s more of a vintage-related thing – I’ve seen wines of 16% in 2020 – and they definitely don’t have anything of that level 😁

Ugh, seriously? I guess I need to start looking for my tart, red-fruited low ABV reds elsewhere if there are no more classic vintages to come… Thanks for the info re: Le Beaujolais/Raisins Gauloises, I’ve had it indeed in the past but hadn’t felt it was a relevant buy for me considering how affordable the Morgon is.
