A quiet day of visits, the weather’s a little been a little cooler too – only ~28°C!
There was a little rain last night, but nothing too heavy. Generally the producers of ‘Greater Burgundy’ are content with their lot after flowering.
One more Irancy producer tomorrow, then I’m heading to Beaune. Note, a 98 Irancy today managed to leap into my Top-10 list of 2014 – which reminds me, I suppose I better put that list online next week 😉

Hi Bill,
I’m more than pleased to see that you are actively looking for value outside the traditional hunting grounds (CdB & CdN). There’s lots of fine Burgundy wine to be found elsewhere, Less famous for sure, but very interesting & fine QpR. Please do go out have a look at the Bourgogne Côte Saint Jacques, Côtes de Couchois, Epineuil, Saint-Bris and the likes!
PS Have some tremendous Irancy 2003 & 2005 from Colinot in my cellar; they seem to have disappeared somewhat from the front of the scene?
I liked Colinot’s wines until his daughter and her husband took over.
