I really only have one reaction here – Ouch! – and the obvious one that I won’t be buying. I do remember buying the 98 Clos des Cortons in mags – they were 98 francs. I wish my house and salary were worth 3 times more in that time…

    I received the same offer. I was pretty shocked as well. Ho hum. I’m off to Burgundy later this month to pick up my case of 12’s from David Clark. Usually that makes me feel better about prices of offerings like this that are spiraling upwards without a limit in sight. But with David departing this year I think I’ll be a little less delighted.

    At least you get offered the whole lot… In the UK these days you are lucky if you get the mail to compete for the allocation… Good to have a full cellar…

    Des tarifs d’une absolue cupidité qui se servent des leviers chinois et de la grêle de la Côté de Beaune pour se décupler. Inconséquents…voilà le bon mot. Quelle pitié d’observer cela! 600 FS une bouteille de Chambertin dont la “marque” a moins de cinq ans et ne singularise en rien ce cru… Marketing quand tu nous tiens.
