Again medium ruby red with a high toned nose. Tannins are have just a little less grip on the tongue and teeth compared to the ‘Les Bougeots’ but finish a little bitter. Good fruit though.

A blend of four vineyards, including one 1er cru (Baudes). Bright, medium cherry colour. The nose has hints of earth and smooth red fruits. On the palate, gorgeous red fruits, medium soft tannins which coat your teeth. Medium length. Very interesting.

2001 Drouhin Joseph Chablis Reserve de Vaudon

An assemblage of parcels from the right bank of the Serein River, between the Montée de Tonnerre and Mont de Milieu. Bright, pale gold colour. A pure sweet nose with a trace of melon and lemon. A lovely ‘zing’ of acidity, mineral and very long. This would make a perfect aperitif, or perhaps as Véronique suggests with oysters! Very good.

2001 Drouhin Joseph Meursault

Yellowy-gold colour. The nose is subdued, showing some ‘bready’ notes. Palate is fuller, thicker and indeed richer than the Saint Véran. Good acidity with lovely fruit. Nicely long too. A good wine.

2001 Geantet-Pansiot Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes

Medium-plus cherry.Nice fruity nose with no obvious oak. Good acidity with medium-plus tannins. The fruit is good here, again in a soft style. Good.
