Bottled in March. Ripe fruit aromas with perfectly integrated faint oak and hints of mint leaf. Mouth-filling with an extra edge of fat versus the Charmes. Lovely crystallised lemon fruit on the long finish. Lovely

The nose has less overt width, rather a really dense core of fruit – eventually becomes a little more
expressive with a faint brioche note. Clearly more concentration despite lower (13.5%) alcohol. Smooth
texture and much more minerality than the villages. The length again is quite savoury and mineral. Super
balance. Only ‘very fine’ versus the 2005’s ‘outstanding’, though the value clearly remains.

Medium yellow. The nose shows nice floral tones over the faint brioche. The palate shows well-textured concentration with the acidity just bubbling away under the surface before breaking through into the mid-palate. An interesting extra edge of flavour before (very) slowly fading into the finish. A fine example.
