2023 Joseph Colin, Chassagne-Montrachet Hereditas
Not too deep lemon yellow colour. Pretty top notes with a richer depth of subtly fresh creamy-lemon pie. Super scale in the mouth – super-wide before moving on with a more chalky-textured middle section, then a long, relaxed fade-out that’s subtly accented with a small salinity. Detailed, pure – one worth buying – oh, I did 🙂

2015 Daniel Bouland, Morgon Corcelette Vielles Vignes
Of course, plenty of colour – I can’t see through it. Fresh, subtly smoked and spiced nose. Ooh – really a mouthful, but with quite some fluidity – already starting to fade with older notes and some caramelised dark sugar. The finish is actually linear and hardly fading. I only have this one bottle, as the vintage was rather warm (stated 14.3%), but this gets better and better in the glass – it could turn out to be excellent!
