A domaine with 9 hectares, but spread over 57 different parcels!

Pascale on 2016:
We have only 15% of a normal harvest in 2016. It wasn’t a problem with mildew, all our losses were down to the frost. We stayed biodynamic but of-course that required much attention.

Pascale on 2015:
“2015? Grandiose but only a half harvest. We started on the 6th of September with our vines in Pommard. It was relatively easy for winemakers compared to some other recent vintages.”

The wines…

2015 Bourgogne Pinot Noir
Deep colour and fresh, wide, deep nose too. Some tannin, and really nice fresh dark fruit with a floral mid-palate flavour, then some tannin. Nice line here. Excellent Bourgogne.

2015 Nuits St.Georges Aux Allots
New since 2013 – 5 different plots.
A little reduction. More tannin, but very finely grained. Still a little reduction but here is fresher and finer flavour. Yum!

2015 Nuits St.Georges Les Plantes aux Baronne
From the south of Nuits.
A little reduction again. Very fresh and floral flavour. Long, with a little tannin. I find this a very pretty wine.

2015 Nuits St.Georges 1er Rue de Chaux
Also some reduction but there’s also fresh, dark fruit too. Lots of reduction on the palate, but more depth and spice too.

2015 Nuits St.Georges 1er Les Vaucrains
As all of these, so-far, some reduction, but this is still a really nicely vibrant nose. Hmm, this has some excellent complexity, some growing texture. This is excellent!
2015 Nuits St.Georges 1er Les St.Georges
Wide, big, floral, super depth of aroma and no reduction! Wide, fine, no drying tannin, beautiful floral fruit, complex and very long. This is beautiful.

So let’s try a few others…

2014 Nuits St.Georges 1er Les Vaucrains
High toned, a fine red berry nose. Fresh and round, with very appealing flavour. Nice, long and gorgeously flavoured. This is very fine.

2014 Nuits St.Georges 1er Les St.Georges
Higher tones some depth of aromatic concentration too. Big, silky, a slowly growing tannin but very understated, long, modestly but very interestingly complex. Yum!

1995 Nuits St.Georges 1er Rue de Chaux
A big, complex, sous bois nose. Fresh, still a little extra tannin, but this is tasty and fresh wine. The flavour becomes warmer and redder in the glass – a 1995 that I might even say was ready to drink!
