St.Aubin

2007 Boisset Jean-Claude St.Aubin

By on June 30, 2009 #asides

Harvested on the same day as the aligoté, reared in 400 litre barrels – Grégory says that his aim is more minerality and less oak. Pale colour, penetrating nose. Direct and mineral with super acidity packaging the sweetness. Super.

A savoury width on the nose. The palate is wide and slightly bubbly. This will be a very good food match with its good balance and savoury aspect. Despite the savoury character, there’s no obvious oak

Wider nose than their St.Romain, initially more diffuse but stronger notes. Higher acidity than the St.Romain, very nice, mouth-filling complexity. Medium length. Good wine, I’ve tasted much worse 1er Crus from this appellation.
