After the Chevenottes this fuller and rounder – it’s very silky. Good balance and has a wider and slightly richer finish.

Dense, wide Chassagne fruit aromas. Mouth-filling, again (like the others) there is a good width. This is both classic and very good Chassagne.

The nose is more open and higher-toned – Caroline says that this parcel is always very aromatic – nice width. A hint of petillance, very good acidity (perhaps emphasised by the dissolved gas) but there’s a super burst of interest across the mid-palate. A slowly lingering finish…

The aromas are lithe, sinewy and less forward than the Savigny’s. Again, sweet fruit that’s packaged with perfect acidity – good 07s are jewel-like in this combination. Hard to keep hold of the wine in your mouth because of the intensity. A mineral finish – very good this!

The nose is denser, but the fruit is very fine and fresh. Silkier concentration – very impressive mid-palate intensity before a slowly lingering finish. Not just impressive – super!

Drunk following the Chassagne of Amiot. Medium-yellow. The nose is a little richer and deeper, backed by some sweet oak. The palate also shows a richer edge and is very long. The acidity is just a little more forward and steely in presentation – perhaps helps push the finish. Very tasty, not the perfect balance of the Amiot but all the same, a very good buy.

Pale yellow. Understated nose with some oak. Sweeter palate than the ‘En Remilly’. Again an interesting finish. Again good wine.
