Beaune 1er Cru

2007 Butterfield David Beaune 1er Cru

Medium cherry-red. Dark, oak-inflected aromas – slightly spicy. Ripe and tasty, velvet texture from slightly drying tannins. The flavours are as dark as the nose but they are lovely in the mid-palate before the very decent finish.

Medium red, still some hints of cherry. High tones that are reasonably fresh. The tannin is a little drying and the acid is a little sharp – certainly far from seamless.. Not a great balance here.
