paddling…
Like a duck paddling away below the surface I’m trying to give the impression of everything being serene above the waist. The fact is the next Burgundy Report (already the 8th year!) is coming together in a much more orderly/timely fashion than usual – in fact you will only have… Read More
2001 Fevre William Chablis Le Clos
Chalk and cheese versus the 01 Leflaive Bourgogne – actually (way back when) this wine was only about 10% more expensive than the Leflaive. just an average day-trip to burgundy…
Aubert de Villaine - after being made to wait in the cold!Monday was just your average away-day to Burgundy: 5:30am – Alarm, cereal, wash, shave then eventually open my eyes. 6:25am – In the car and away. Plenty of rain as we went through the ‘Doubs’ and around Besançon. If… Read More
a day job in Burgundy
While in Burgundy earlier this year we met a lot of new friends and contacts. While in Puligny Montrachet we met Olivier Leflaive. I had read about his hotel and wine bar on wineterroirs.com, a link that Bill links to from this blog. Upon stepping into the hotel looking for… Read More
