2008 Grivault Albert, Pommard Le Clos BlancOct. 2010
Medium colour. High-toned, with very pretty red berries. There is a background of good tannin and good acidity – all well balanced. Medium-weight, very detailed and pretty wine!
2007 Grivault Albert, Pommard Le Clos BlancOct. 2010
Medium colour. Riper fruit, but not too ripe – it’s a nice fruit conserve aroma. It needs some air to help it come together, but the individual parts are very good.
2008 Château Génot-Boulanger, Pommard Le Clos BlancMay. 2010
From vines bordering Grands Epenots. There’s a nice width of fruit aromas. Mouth-filling – there’s plenty of tannin to bathe in. Good flavour with black reflections before lingering into an understated finish. Almost good also.
2005 Mischief and Mayhem, Pommard Le Clos BlancAug. 2007
An impressively complex nose, interesting and high-toned. Ripe, intense and again ripe tannin. Plenty of red-fruited, dense concentration. Very good.
