2009 Tardy Jean, Nuits St.Georges Aux Bas du CombeDec. 2011
High tones, some herb notes too that float above lovely red fruit – this is very pretty! In the mouth this seems finely boned and with good acidity too. This finishes well with beautiful red fruit note. Very good wine indeed, but in an elegant, less forceful way – I certainly wouldn’t guess this was a Nuits.
2006 Coudray-Bizot, Nuits St.Georges Aux Bas du CombeApr. 2009
A deeper nose, slightly sweeter nose that gets prettier and prettier with time. Again the acidity is rather tart though the length is good.
2000 Coudray-Bizot, Nuits St.Georges Aux Bas du CombeApr. 2009
Once more the nose goes a little deeper than the previous wine. Full and ripe, yet the same tart acidity as the last wines.
1998 Coudray-Bizot, Nuits St.Georges Aux Bas du CombeApr. 2009
Some depth, a nice impression of sweet fruit and extra mature notes. In the mouth it’s wide and interesting, has good dimension and maturity, but that apparently tart acid style still spoils it for me.
