2008 Gagnard Jean-Noël, Chassagne-Montrachet Les ChaumesDec. 2009
A lovely fresh nose with delicate rather than ‘manly’ Chassagne fruit. Lovely acidity which slowly leaves your mouth watering. A very nicely balanced wine with good density.
2006 Potel Nicolas, Chassagne-Montrachet Les ChaumesApr. 2008
A dense and wide nose that still manages to retain a little understatement. The stance is similar to the Morgeot, but with just a little less overt concentration and more fruity citrus aspects. Very nice wine, almost showing a little tannic extract on the finish.
1995 Colin-Deléger, Chassagne-Montrachet Les ChaumesNov. 2004
A waxy, honied nose – quite interesting. The mouthfeel is really silky – nice wine. Good acidity and finish, delivered in a a very clean and tasty way but very understated too. Very good.
