On 2018:

The wines…
2018s of freshness and energy – they were very fine – finishing with an exquisite 2017…
0.50 ha – about 45 yo vines, bottled from elevage in ‘just about everything that was available!’
Deep, only modest sulfur used here. Bright, growing intensity, purity of flavour – even more intensity – wow – that’s a wine with energy. Delicious and indeed fabulous.
2018 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Reisses VV
Lots of Clay in this area, also 0.50 ha, here of vines that are 70 years old.
A broader nose with perfume and such an invitation. Also so insistent and intense – these wines are really bundles of energy. Perfumed like the nose – the merest, occasional suggestion, of barrel too, Excellent.
2018 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Cras VV
More than 80-year-old vines, some marne and more limestone here.
This has a little agrume style to the fruit aroma. Intense again, more direct but slowly filling the mouth too, extra salinity that’s a great finish – almost a little lime in the complexity… Excellent again.
And to finish, a 2017:
On a blue schist, bottled in July after 30 months of elevage.
A compact nose, but with the impression of energy waiting to escape. A little gas – but also a very impressive width of fresh energy – clarity of flavour, depth indeed waves of flavour, Intense and powerful finishing – great wine!
