Meursault

2006 Fichet Jean-Philippe Meursault

By billn on September 30, 2010

Just a little more aromatic richness. Again there is a richness to the palate, whilst not to the wine’s detriment I might want for a little more elegance. For me just a little acid-shy – directly after the 2007 anyway!

Wide with very faint brioche – lovely understated nose. Concentrated with good acidity, this is a very nice example indeed. The finish lingers very well. Super.

2006 Mischief and Mayhem Meursault

From three parcels that average to 45 year-old vines, bottled in December. Medium-pale yellow. This has

width and freshness, plus a subtle pear fruit on the nose. Very good acidity that shows a citrus ‘zing’ and

length. Good weight in the mid-palate. A good villages.

2006 Pavillon Meursault

From 8 separate, owned parcels, only grapes from the west side of Meursault. Wide on the nose with decent fruit. Penetrates the palate with nice concentration and super intensity for a villages. A nice finish too.
