Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot

2004 Ramonet Noel Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot

Medium-pale yellow. Deep and creamy, vanilla-laden nose – I never did find any fruit. The palate is a real mix of fruit and mineral attributes, well-balanced acidity and really impressive complexity. This is a lovely wine and quite easy to drink today, though for the short-term I’d put Amiot’s wine ahead, longer-term I think there’s more to this wine.

A nicely mineral nose here of some concentration. There’s a wide impression to the palate, also showing good concentration. Today this seems more interesting than either of the Meursaults.

From 40 year-old vines. Intense nose. The plate shows good concentration and is nicely backed by the balancing acidity. Medium length, this is a nice wine.
