Pommard Les Noizons

2008 Carré Denis Pommard Les Noizons

Your nose is greeted by a wild, dark fruit impression. Good ripe structure that overall remains understated. Certainly quite pretty and with good length too.

Penetrating and rather red fruit aromas. The structure is still the boss here yet the slightly roast red fruit flavours coat everything. 5+ years of rest still needed here.

Medium, medium-plus ruby-red. The nose is a nice sweet mix of red fruit, perhaps just a little roast. The palate is tasty and well balanced, no hard edges, no roughness or dryness to the tannins. Good acidity. An above average villages, particularly good value in 1998.

Medium+ cherry colour. The nose is high toned with sweet oak. More tannic than the ‘Les Teurons’ but with nicer acidity and more interesting fruit.
