Is a tasting-note better in a bite-sized twitter aside?
Mercurey, so often so-la-la or over-extracted/wooded but this is brilliant, crunchy raspberry + textured weight. Yum! pic.twitter.com/vtiZvxENwh

It is almost impossible to find a Mercury Blanc on the West Coast. Why? They represent quite solid value. I would think that there is little vineyard land dedicated to whites or is most kept for local consumption?
Hi Mike, there is actually only a small proportion of Mercurey planted with chardonnay, no more than 15% at most – so it is logical you will far more often meet a bottle of red Mercurey. The whites generally sell out rather quickly, as they are well-reputed locally.
