Hey guys,

I'm planning a Brudgundy-visit with my big family car, but without kids. Means I have a lot of space for wine-cases. I already made my appointments with Michel Gros, Mongeard-Mugneret and Amiot-Servelle. I would love to visit Robert Chevillon, Alain Hudellot-Noellat and Ghislaine Barthod. Do you know if they are open for private visitors and buyers? And has anyone contacts, mails or phone numbers, as I couldn't find something in the Internet.

Moreover I would like to visit Fourrier and Mugnier, but I'm pretty sure they just sell to their merchants?!

Would appreciate your thoughts and advice!

Great trip! I'm sure you are correct and Fourrier and Mugnier will have nothing to sell.

Thanks for all the advices - unfortunately the burgundy trip was postponed to next spring. But the adresses should still be valid, I presume.

Instead, by the way, I went to the Piemont and visited the Barolo-Region. This was an outstanding experience. More beautiful landscape, better prices for wines and restaurants and some wines that really could match with the best burgundies. I'm still impressed. But thats maybe a topic for another forum, haha!

How do you secure your visit with Amiot Servelle? I've had a look at their website, which is pretty rudimentary. I think I'm going to try to arrange a visit for next year.

Try to send an email in French.

Then call if they do not reply though many vignerons away for Xmas/New Year.

Please let me know how it goes as I wanna go next year as well!

Filobianco is right, the easiest is to send an email in french. I always communicate with them by mail. Madame Amiot-Servelle is very friendly and it should'nt be a problem to arrange a visit.

Still, I have to say that I was pretty disappointed by their 2009ers. But they are more or less sold out anyway. So maybe you should arrange a visit when 2010 is in the bottle. By the way: Amiot-Servelle is offering pre-orders to very interesting conditions. The deadline for 2010 is over, but maybe you can get something for the 2011 vintage.

Apart from that, I strongly recommend a visit at Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret. Its very easy to make an appointment there (I just rang the doorbell the last time and get a warm and nice welcome) and the wines are marvellous.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies. I'll send on an e-mail and see how I get on. I'll be visiting in April, so hopefully the 2010s will be available. My schedule is pretty full already but I have space for 1 more visit in Chambolle and thought that Amiot might make for a nice visit (and an opportunity to pick up a few bottles at a resonable price).

Hi Joachim,
Hudelot have a shop in their office, with around 25 different wines and vintages displayed. Nothing top top, but nice to leave there with a nice set of samples - going back to 2003 if I recall (from last February).
