Hello All. What information might you have on a British wine negotiant/merchant/bottler named Lionel J. Bruck? I bought some 1978 Clos de la Roche with his label...all I know is that he's British; likely a negotiant that perhaps just bottles or maybe finishes the wine with more wood..just not sure.
Does he have a good or less than wonderful reputation. I suspect he is deceased..not sure.
Anyone ever taste his 1978 Clos de la Roche?
Hi JP - this was firm bought-up by Boisset in (I think) the late 80s. I've sent them an email to see what history they have of the old firm- I'll pass-on whatever arrives.

great history. I remember that my first better burgundy wine was a Pommard 69 from Hasenklever which I bought in a CC in 1974. One year later I went over eastern to Nuits to see this winery. But they had not open over eastern and therefore I went to Cathiard and Serafin.

What does this history portend for the quality of Brucks wines...anything? Certainly not a famous house ....thats for certain!
I have yet to open one...as they are sitting in storage 1000 miles from me right now. Id send you one of the 78 Clos Roche's.... if it wasn't so hard to ship to Switzerland.
