Leflaive, Macon-Verzé 2007 has been one of the best white QPRs I have experienced recently.
Has anyone tried the 08 version - and how does it compare to the 07 ??

I haven't tried the 2008 but you've convinced me to buy some the 2007 which I've been holding off on.
Had a stunning Lafon Macon Milly Larmartine Clos du Four 2007 a few weeks ago which has got me excited..
I had the 2008 last sunday lunch.
A lovely wine with a distinct Leflaive style to it; citrus and "wet-stone"minerality but a bit more fat than the other wines from the domaine. I find this wine a great supplement to the Leflaive range, but it is in my opinion a few notches below the bourgogne blanc in quality. During a tasting at Leflaive earlier this year the chef de vignes said that the sorting and pressing was done in Macon by a realtive to Mme Leflaive, but the elevage was done in Puligny. Does anyone know anything about this?
