I seem to have easily sunk a half bottle of this tonight. Smooth, less acid led than many from the vintage. still quite compact (a friendly version of tight) but very tasty........

My experience with 96 1er crus is similar to yours ( less acid now ).
I will post some of my recent experience with some g-crus ( 96 CdB - Rousseau & Jadot and 96 Chambertin - Drouhin ) as soon as my friend FEd posted his TNs on his Web.

Any more recent experiences with NSG '96? I've read Bill's vintage note and the above. I need to give a gift bottle of something with a bit of age to a good customer, and the primary candidate in the cellar is a '96 Les Perrières (Jean Chauvenet). Speculation on likely experience also welcome.
