I didn’t meet Mr Engerer when I visited Domaine d’Eugénie, Bordelaise über-klasse or not, I’m sure he was miss-quoted here 😉
(Hint; does that mean everyone who paid at least €150 per bottle of 2006 Grands-Echézeaux have bottles that Mr Engerer isn’t proud of…(?) Clearly a case of miss-quotation, probably!)

Not Domaine Engel, for sure. Historically amongst my top 3 domaine buys / loves but sadl Eugenie sure ain’t ‘it’. The immediate price rises on change of ownership said it all.
Personally, was very concerned when the ‘Bordelaise came to Burgundy’ and nothing since has changed my view, call me whatever. For the Burgundians maybe the only ‘benefit’ the potential rise in land values – already a succesion problem before Pinault’s dollars ?
