Hi Ray,
I never did - the rewards of several years of insomnia and typing - means I tend to get a few invites without any soliciting. I do usually make first email contact with domaines referring to writing a domaine profile on B-R. That's about 60% effective - which frankly is as many visits as i've time for anyway!
Cheers

Bill, that subtle link at the foot of the email is a great move. Do you ever need to pull credentials for tastings, etc.?

Hi Simon - in this case there's nothing I can do - it was a 12-pack purchase at a Swiss auction about 3 years ago - no recourse I'm afraid. If I've bought from a producer, I might chivvy them along to replace a bottle, and certainly I have the expectation of a replacement from a merchant. Those who do not replace no-longer become a source for me - and are told in no uncertain terms - that's the only time I ever try on a 'do you know who I am?', but subtly, by including my website link in my email...

Bill,

What do you do with such a purchase? This wine is not cheap. Do you try to get your money back? Even if you bought it 10 years ago? Or do you take your loss? (Maybe you've had it so long you don't remember where you got it).
