I returned from CH last week after having spent a week in Andermatt and a couple of days in Engleberg as well as side trips to Chappeliberg and Disentis. The snow was fantastic and it cleared enough to ski the big sidecontry lines off the Gemsstock at Andermatt.
Best ski trip of my life.

Yeah, I grabbed this book after seeing you mention it earlier. It's crazy dense. It really needs some visual timelines to show what's going on.

Hi Phil
I certainly know that RL-C used to make a Languettes - but here I simply take Maurice at his word that he's now the last one left, and even he admits for replanting a bit of it with chardonnay...

Bill another snippet page 197 Chapuis, in the finest wine section you list them as the only source of Corton Languettes, I believe Rene Lequin-Colin of Santenay still list a red?

Hi Roelof - you may note the slip-label for Percy Fox - who were at the time agents for DRC in the UK. Their address was Sackville Street, not Sackvilee as spelled on this particular label...

Hi Bill, please explain: when looking at the picture of the DRC bottle, what exactly is dodgy about it? Wouldn't want to buy the false stuff (once I've won the lottery).

Dear Mark
This wine was absolutely stunning in it's first two years and was a match for most Montrachets - or young Montrachets anyway. Last tasted more than a year ago it had shrunk into itself and was very good but no-longer great. In an ideal world this will be a great wine again once it's 20 years old, but there's no guarantee that any white Burgundy will actually achieve such longevity today...
